(For beginners and people considering purchasing alpacas)

Here at Herts Alpacas we believe the best way of experiencing and learning about alpacas is at first hand . So come and join us for the day and work alongside us with our friendly herd, asking any questions you may have, handling the animals and even doing the ‘dirty’ jobs. This is a ‘hands-on’ experience day and is probably the most comprehensive introduction into the world of alpacas.

Days arranged on a date to suit you.
Days usually start around 10am with a brief talk and tea followed by field work and first hand experience with alpacas including: feeding, herding, halter training, basic husbandry, health checking and body scoring.
Buffet lunch provided.
Days conclude around 4pm.

This exciting 'hands-on' experience day including tea and lunch costs only £85+VAT per person and is limited to a maximum of 4 people per day.
