Herts Alpacas Nelson  A FULL PERUVIAN HERD SIRE

Nelson is Herts Alpacas through and through and is the epitome of everything we aim to achieve with our selective breeding programme. As a junior he showed true potential with his 'look at me' conformation and head style backed up with a beautiful soft handling fleece which has improved in density and character year on year.
At the age of seven he still carries a very well organised buttery soft handling, extremely dense, high amplitude crimpy fleece with almost no medullated fibre on a solid strong frame.
He looks every bit the award winning full Peruvian macho he is, with extreme fibre length and coverage. Nelson really is the full package for discerning breeders looking to improve their herd with full Peruvian bloodlines and A line genetics. Nelsons sire is is the multiple and supreme champion Bozedown Olympus
and his dam is one of our finest breeding females boasting only 22 microns at 13 years of age. To top it all this male is very virile and has a lovely temperament which he tends to pass onto his cria along with his other positive breeding traits.

Judge Ian Waldron said of Nelson when he took 1st place adult white male at the 2009 Kenilworth show
"this strong boned male should be taken seriously when choosing future herd sires he has no medullated fibre and a very well organised bright fleece "
